Goodale Park

Regular price $26.00 $0.00

Established in 1851, Goodale Park is the oldest public park in Columbus – aside from its time as a Civil War Camp. The real question though is, “What’s with the elephants?” Well, the elephants on the Goodale Park Fountain are actually a tip of the hat to the Sells Family Circus. The Sells Mansion (AKA The Circus House) was right next to the park at the corner of Buttles and Dennison. More than that though, every time the circus came to Columbus, they’d parade the elephants through good ole’ Goodale Park.
