The Brewery District

Regular price $26.00 $0.00

When the German immigrants settled down in The Old South End of Columbus, they brought with them the knowledge and skills to start up thriving businesses making what they make best:  BIER!!!  And as simple as that, the Brewery District was born.  City Brewery, the first in the area, opened in 1836, and five more would open over the next 30 years.  Originally installed in 1905 and still marking the Brewery District’s history is a 12-foot statue of King Gambrinus, the Flemish King who is rumored to have invented the frosty beverage.
